Lincoln Grove, Park Close, Bladon

Bladon is a beautiful village on the edge of the Cotswolds with good access to surrounding areas.

The village has a number of local facilities including a primary school, church and hall, public house, antiques centre and tearooms. It borders the World Heritage Site of Blenheim Palace with its beautiful grounds, which can be accessed free through the Lodge Gate within 200 metres of the development. Sir Winston Churchill, who was born in the Palace, chose his final resting place in the village of Bladon. Further amenities can be found at Woodstock, less than two miles away, with the historic city of Oxford within easy travelling distance of the site.

With concern growing over global warming, Kingerlee Homes and its joint venture partner, Lifehaus PLC, made the decision to build to a much higher standard than is required by current Building Regulations. The aim was to build homes in a much more sustainable and carbon-efficient manner. The standard known as EcoHomes allows developments to be independently assessed against a code set up by the Government, which takes account of the environmental impact of the development both during construction and throughout its life. The current standard has four acceptable levels. Lincoln Grove will achieve the highest possible level – ecohomes excellent.
